    We're so proud to hear that Janice Cantieri, a Wellstone Center past intern, just started her own podcast! It's called "Remains" and is about a series of crazy adventures she had on Banaba, a remote island in the Pacific. Originally, she went there on a Fubright-National Geographic Fellowship and was stranded there off the grid for two months. Before long she was chosen by the Banaba people to retrieve a  skull stolen long ago.   • We’ve Got Eggs! -  April 3, 2019
    It's always like a little miracle, when the chickens start laying eggs after their winter break. Right now, we're collecting at least a dozen eggs every day. Coco is so obsessed with finding eggs, she practically lives in the chicken coop for a large part of the day. Only a month ago, Alex and Joseph slaughtered a few older hens and cooked them, too. We try to make it interesting for our interns!

  • Congratulations, Butterfingers! -  March 14, 2019
      Yesterday Butterfingers gave birth to a beautiful little baby girl goat! We're not sure how much she weighs, but she stands strong and sucks a lot of milk from her mother's teats. If you've met Doris before, you will be very sad to know that she died last week under mysterious circumstances. We're really not sure what happened. Complications from her own pregnancy, we know that much. Our thoughts go out to Josh Barron, a resident here. We…
