It’s a book party! Join us at the Wellstone Center in the Redwoods on Saturday, August 30, starting at 4 p.m., for a party celebrating Wellstone Books’ upcoming publication of OneBody Massage, a book from Google massage therapist Grace Ku (that’s her in the picture) all about using massage as a tool for couples to grow closer together and bring more joy into each other’s lives. It’s a beautiful book, illustrated with Grace’s artwork.
“Every massage session is an opportunity to be in a calm, peaceful, suspended space where one is enveloped between heaven and earth, connecting with one another,” Grace says. “It’s beautiful.”
We’ll have snacks, beverages and books on sale. Grace will be joined by special guest Chade-Meng Tan, “Jolly Good Fellow” at Google, whose job title is to work for world peace. Meng will talk about his book Search Inside Yourself, a New York Times bestseller in which Meng asserts, “For the benefits of meditation to become widely accessible to humanity, it cannot just be the domain of bald people in funny robes living in mountains, or small groups of New Age folks in San Francisco. Meditation needs to become ‘real.’ It needs to align with the lives and interests of real people.”
